- tips and ideas concerning linguistic business consulting (read more about this term on our blog).
We treat each assigned task as a separate project which results in new value given by a word. In order to avoid substantive inaccuracies and to provide high-quality services, each text is created as the outcome of co-operation between an author, an editor and an expert in a given branch or industry.
Translation is not only a recreation of a text in another language or rendering one form to another. It is a process that combines both an interpretation of a source text and conveying its content in another language in a form that deviates from the original version as little as possible. Voltaire’s statement that “Translations are like women – either beautiful or faithful” is a quotation that is well-recognised by translators. In textLAB we work on making our translations both beautiful and faithful.
We offer written (standard and sworn), specialised, technical and legal translations, verification of translations, localisation of websites and e-materials, as well as DTP services.
One of the eternal dilemmas is this question: “A bit of everything or less but well?”
In textLAB we answer – less but well. We don’t handle texts in all languages of the world, but only such texts as to which we will have no doubts that they are written correctly and when we can guarantee that they will be of high quality. Translations are prepared by native speakers.
Regardless of which language pair is used, we handle the following languages:
- English (including Northern American English)
Thanks to our own experience and co-operation with industry experts we prepare translations of texts in the following fields:
- law (administrative, civil, criminal)
- EU structures, bodies and grants
- international relations and trade
- economy, accounting, finance
- energy industry
- construction, town planning
- machinery, equipment
- light industry, heavy industry
- automotive industry, aviation industry
- automations, robotics
- business consulting

- pharmaceutics and medical sciences

A well-made translation is only half the way to success. No less important is the verification of translation compliance with the source text and its correctness in terms of grammar, spelling, punctuation and, above all, substantive.
We treat text verification as one of the main elements of the translation process. It constitutes the quality of the end product and the customer’s satisfaction.
One word can change the meaning of the whole message, so even in case of a translation that was prepared on one’s own it is worth entrusting it to verifiers and proofreaders. As a saying goes – two heads are better than one!
We’ve been collaborating with film enthusiasts, bloggers and reviewers for nearly 10 years. Thanks to them we offer translations and localisation of the following types of video and film:
- feature films
- training videos
- video tutorials
Translating this kind of material is quite a challenge, but whole communities savour the fruits of those efforts, after all. A splint of imagination is often lit by a word (Aldous Huxley).
DTP is a graphic typesetting service, involving translating or preparing a text and adjusting its layout. DTP projects are an integral part of language projects.
Translations of specialist documentation, drawings, maps or infographics cannot be done without graphic intervention, which, depending on the target audience and document type, consists in maintaining the original graphic layout, adjusting the graphic layout to the new language, changing the layout and preparing files for printing.
Most often DTP includes reconstructing the original folder, brochure, catalogue and other materials, taking into account the preferences and cultural and social expectations of the target language area.
In this respect we also offer preparation of editable files based on non-editable materials, development of ready-to-print materials.
The Latin maxim says: “Keep to the subject and words will follow” (“Rem tene, verba sequentur”). However, expressing the same sense in different languages is neither simple nor easy. And it is a dedicated message that can often determine the success of an enterprise.
Nowadays, it is hard to imagine a company without its own website or social media profile. These are the key tools for the branding, company’s external and internal communication. The truth is, however, that because of cultural, historical, socio-economical and other reasons the way we create a message should be different in Polish and, for example, English or Lithuanian (due to, say, variations in language etiquette). We use different ways to encourage and “call to action” clients from the USA, different for clients in Russia, Germany, the Baltic countries.
Localisation of websites and e-materials is primarily the process of creating or translating texts and adjusting their content to different target groups that function in different cultural and mental realities. It is a cultural adaption of texts to target markets. Localisation involves both finding equivalents of measurement units, currencies, date formats, and more complicated operations, e.g. referring to stereotypes or values.
Want to increase selling on foreign markets? Talk to clients… in their language! This aspect of translating and creating texts is worthy of particular attention because the effectiveness of the actions taken and of projects implemented may depend on a correctly said word.

Have an idea of advertisement, text, message, but do not know if it is properly received by the recipient operating in a different mental, cultural or business reality? Submit your text, define your needs and we will help you to adjust it and build a content tailored to your needs!
The creation, translation and proofreading of every type of text are priced individually, depending both on the type of that text, content, the completion date and other customer’s preferences.
The basis for determining the price of a written translation is the page (1800 characters, and in the case of sworn translation – 1125 characters with spaces) of the resulting text. The price of the first page translation is independent of the number of characters, and each subsequent started page counts as full if it has more than 900 characters, otherwise – the fee is half the rate per page. The exception is sworn translations, where each started page is counted as full.
For specialized translations with a high degree of difficulty, an additional fee is added, which we inform you before you proceed with the order.
In case of content-inn services, the given prices include 1000 characters with spaces of the target text. Prices are approximate and subject to change, including a reduction, depending on the level of customer involvement, information sent, difficulty, specifics and preferences of the client.
